Relationship-centered education for canine caretakers and professionals

What This Work Is

Pup Scholar’s educational work focuses on care, communication, and the human–canine relationship. Grounded in relationship science and canine behavior research, this work centers the human role in canine well-being—helping caretakers understand behavior in context, recognize their influence within relational systems, and learn how to meet dogs’ needs in ways that support safety, stability, and connection.

This educational work reflects the foundational principles of the Dog-Safe Human framework, which emphasizes behavior as communication, emotional safety, shared agency, and responsibility within the human–canine relationship.

Current & Future Offerings

At present, education is offered through private inquiry and customized engagement, allowing learning experiences to be shaped around the specific needs of individuals, families, organizations, or professional teams.

Public courses, workshops, and structured learning programs grounded in the Dog-Safe Human framework are currently in development and will be made available on this site beginning Summer 2026.
